DATA CLEANSING

AC's PC Services are able to offer a complete
Data Cleansing/Removal service. The use of
data cleansing is primarily used in the event
of recycling, disposing or selling of an old or
used computer(s). Although you may think you
have 'deleted' that document with your passwords
on, or those scanned images of your bank statements,
fraudsters and identity thieves can retrieve
this information and with only three items of
your personal data, they can clone your identity.

The data cleansing process consists of using a piece
of software which goes through the storage medium
(Hard Drive, memory stick etc).This then removes
any data on the device by replacing any data originally
there with miscellaneous data. This then makes it
extremely difficult for the would be identity thief
to access any of the data previously stored on the device.
